The Georgia Police Accreditation Coalition exists to improve the quality & delivery of law enforcement services to the citizens of its communities, by endorsing & assisting in the processes of national accreditation & state certification. GPAC provides technical assistance to agencies in all phases of accreditation & certification, from file setup & documentation to policy & procedure writing. GPAC provides thorough, three-day mock onsite assessments for CALEA accreditation, with detailed reporting. Its membership also provides the assessors who conduct the mock/actual onsite assessments for state certification as administered by the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police. GPAC meets six times each year, in the months of February, April, June, August, October & December. At most meetings, a training session is offered which provides P.O.S.T.-approved training hours to the participating officers.
